Since i am trying to get a review to lower my payments I was wondering what some people thought. My case has not been reviewed in 14 years. Child will be 15 in dec so my reason for review is that the original order was based on child care which is not required anymore. I have no visitation and did not want any. I was thinking about asking for some in order to have the mother maybe back off with her lawyer. I figured that this would maybe give me some more leverage in getting what i want which is just a lower payment.

I don't recommend it. These days support is usually a fairly standard calculation based on income. Unless someone is hiding something, they run a calculation. It's much like doing your taxes. There isn't a lot of fluctuation. In my state, amounts aren't even negotiable between parents. The state mandates the calculated even if the parents agree to less.

Exactly what is her lawyer bothering you about?

I can honestly say that after 14 years, if you force a review, the only thing your payment is going to do is go UP.
