Katherine G. Newcomer, Esq. graduated from Rutgers School of Law - Newark in 1978. She became a member New Jersey Bar in 1978. A cum laude graduate of Drew University (1975) in Music and Religion, she realized that Mediation was a better fit with her philsophy and life goals. As a non-practicing lawyer, it is easier for her to act as a neutral facilitator to help clients to arrive at a mutually acceptable agreement. Also, she is Gay friendly, and works equally well with traditional or same sex couples. |

Katherine G. Newcomer is an Approved Custodial Mediator for the Superior Court of New Jersey, Family Division, Somerset, Hunterdon, and Warren Counties. She trained in Mediation with the Institute of Dispute Resolution in Montclair with Tina Rubinstein and Sam Margulies in 2001 and was fortunate to have interned with the Institute for over twenty weeks. |

She is an active member of the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators. She also successfully completed the neutral training with NASD (National Association of Security Dealers) in New York City, New York in 2003. |
