About The Author:
CONSTANCE AHRONS, PH.D. is a professor of sociology and director of the marriage and family therapy program at the University of Southern California. Called upon frequently as an expert by members of the media, Dr. Ahrons has appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Good Morning America, and CNN. In addition to her teaching, writing, and research, Dr. Ahrons maintains a private practice in Santa Monica, Calif, and is co-chair of the Council on Contemporary Families.
