Seven Steps Toward Determining Whether You Have a Chance at Getting Custody and Also Whether Being Awarded Custody is in Your Best Interest!

Do not spend the money on excess legal fees until you have read this book. The most common mistake many parents make is fighting a custody battle they do not have a chance of winning. The second most common mistake is winning a custody battle only to find that being awarded custody was not what they really wanted after all. This book will help you prevent from making these two common mistakes while keeping your child(ren)'s best interests in mind.

What Others Are Saying About This Book

"The book offers parents considering seeking custody a wealth of information to help make a reasoned and sober decision about an emotionally-laden life changing situation. It asks each parent to dispassionately look at his or her true motives in seeking (or not seeking) custody. The book challenges the parent to take inventory of his or her strengths and weaknesses as parents. Each chapter provides self-examination tools to allow the parent to "step back" from the emotional intensity of the issue, in order to reflect on his or her needs, values, goals, and parenting skills. The book provides the prospective child custody litigant with information regarding the most current alternative non-adversarial solutions to this complex problem and makes a passionate plea for parents to come together out of the traditional courtroom setting to negotiate a resolution of their custody issue." -Edward M. Eichler, Ph.D., Clinical Psychologist

"A must-read book for all prospective litigants, attorneys and judges involved in a child custody matter in Georgia or elsewhere. Written in an easy-to-read style, the book introduces an entirely novel "best interest of the parent" philosophy that Dr. Kerman points out is absolutely intertwined with the best interest of the child. Dr. Kerman wrote this book for the non-lawyer by focusing on the reader and condensing the information to the essential elements of custody law and procedures. The reader walks away with the must-know as he or she taps into Dr. Kerman's extensive litigation experience in family law and custody." -Frank Abuto, Senior Research Scientist
