- a legal or moral responsibility, for example, reasonable care in everyday life activities.
Application in Divorce
This obligation may be legal, such as to take reasonable care in the discharge of a firearm, or to act, such as to intervene in a humanitarian way to prevent harm to another.
As it applies to marriage, spouses have obligations and duties to one another.
