- a Jewish bill of divorcement, granted to the woman from her husband.
Application in Divorce
In a Jewish divorce, a husband and wife are forbidden from colluding. The husband and the husband alone has the right to give the Get. This puts the woman at a distinct disadvantage, for she is called an agunah, a chained woman.
