Delaware Service of Process for Divorce
The Server
Service of process may be made by the Sheriff or by any person who is not a party to the action and is not less than eighteen (18) years of age, as long as they are licensed as a process server.
Serving Process
In a divorce action in Delaware, process means delivering a copy of the summons, complaint, and affidavit, to the respondent personally or by leaving copies at his or her house or usual place of abode with some person of suitable age and discretion living there, or by delivering copies to an authorized agent to receive them.
