I have been legally divorced for 3 1/2 years but the property was to be settled at a later time. I had to file personal bankruptcy around that time as well. She has now decided to pursue the property deal. I was wandering is there a statute of limitations on how long after we have been divorced can she ask for alimony or maintenance? She is living better now than she was when we were married. She was the one who left me and started the divorce stuff.

I believe that would be subject to the agreement that was made when the Dissolution of Marriage was entered. I would definitely get a lawyer!
