Does anyone else think that is a great show? I watch it 8pm everynight or Tivo it. I don't remember them ALWAYS being such tear jerkers when I was a kid. Hormones, I guess. My husband always seems to call me in the middle of the show. He just laughs at me now.

I watch it every day, back to back episodes, on the Hallmark channel. lol I enjoy watching it but just not as much as I did as a kid. I'm a bit jaded as an adult after I found out they weren't nearly as poor as it was portrayed, that Mary was never married, and Pa was basically ADHD in moving his family all over the country trying to get West.

Ignorance would truly be bliss on this subject. lol

Has anyone been to the real places in "Little House"?

No, but I would love to do it someday. I'm very interested in going to South Dakota which is the place they settled last, lived the longest, and several members of the family are buried. I'd also like to visit Laura's homeplace in Missouri (is that right?). I think it would all be so interesting.

Have been to both places and it is very interesting. I loved the "Little House" books when I was younger but DD didn't seem to like them. But, she liked the show.

I'm hooked on Little House too! I never watched it as a kid, but I watch it every night at 7pm on TVLand now. My SO makes fun of me for watching it, and SS always says "you're watching this again?" with a disgusted look on his face.

I also have always wanted to visit the places that Laura Ingalls lived in.
