The custody arrangement in my divorce is 50/50 and is a true Joint Managing Conservatorship. What is the standard for claiming the child on taxes? What are any possible alternatives to look at? When one or both remarries how would that need to be done?

Wasn't this issue addressed in your decree? Generally speaking, it depends on the number of children...if there is only one, one parent claims during even years and the other on odd years; if there are two children...each can claim one.

Remarriage would have no effect.
