I'm currently going through a modification for custody. My ex has filed for full custody of our kids. We went to mediation a few months ago and we are scheduled for trial in a few months. It was decided that it was going to be joint and that he would FINALLY start paying child support. However, my two youngest kids tell me last week his girlfriend took them to see his attorney, without him. Apparently he knew, but didn't go. The oldest decided to stay home. How is this legal-there was no parent present when attorney was talking to them. What grounds do I have? Am I out of line by being mad about this? I was under the impression that all went well during the mediation, but apparently I was wrong.

If you have an attorney, which obviously you should, let them handle it. It's decidedly inappropriate on several levels and may be illegal.
