I've been divorced for 5 years and we are going to a week/week schedule for my nine year old daughter. Her father is retired, but does pro bono work on some boards and therefore travels. The purpose of the week on week off schedule was to make things consistent for my daughter. My question is, if he is requesting several changes to schedule due to his travel schedule (i.e. trading days in his week with days in my week) shouldn't I resist? I work my travel/time away around the time I don't have my daughter so that she has the least impact on her schedule. Anyone out there encounter this issue?

If it doesn't severely interfere with your life, then it's best to do what you can to help. Shared custody is by far the most inconvenient....for both parents.
