I have been married for 37 years and a stay at home mom for the first 20. I was laid off a job of 10 years due to the stress of finding out he had been cheating on me. I went back to school and am now trying to find a new job at 55 years old. I fought very hard to save my marriage but he would not give her up. I finally filed for divorce this past June because he didn't want to continue sending me enough money to pay the bills. I have an attorney but my ex wants to try to settle this without going to court due to finances. I need to know what I should settle for, what am I entitled to. I have spoken with my attorney so I do know a little of what I am entitled to, but he is desperate to settle this and I would like to know if there is more I should ask for.

Without giving alot more specifics, there is no way to make any kind of assessment. You should probably just trust your attorney.
