My ex and I were separated for over two years prior to the divorce being final. We are now at the very enjoyable property division stage of the festivities. The value of my 401K increased significantly in the 2+ years of our separation. Of course I want the split to be as of separation date instead of the divorce date. Does anyone know which date is more typically used?

Thanks

In Delaware, the date of separation is used. Just know if you slept together anytime during those 2+ years, the date of separation resets to that date.
